How do you order?

All the goods listed on the Darcey Bussell Direct website are usually in stock but are subject to availability. If we cannot fulfil an order, in part or in full, we will contact you.

To order online, simply select and add items to the basket. When you have finished shopping and your basket is “full” click on the “Buy” button. You will then be taken through the contact details and payment screen on a secure server. Before submitting your order you will need to read and agree to our terms and conditions and confirm your acceptance of them. You will receive by email an acknowledgement of receipt of your order with a unique order number which should be quoted in all communication with us.

Please note: the simple automatic acknowledgement of your order does not constitute a contract between you and us. This is because we need to be sure we can meet your request. A binding contract of sale of goods between you and us comes into effect either upon confirmation of the order by us or dispatch of the order.

How and when do we deliver?

Darcey Bussell Direct aims to dispatch orders received and fully paid by the next working day, but please allow 28 days for delivery. We are unable to guarantee delivery times, but please contact us if you have a special request.

We usually use Royal Mail/Parcelforce to deliver your goods to the address specified by you in the order form. If Royal Mail/Parcelforce returns the products to us we reserve the right to charge additional delivery fees. Where the product is delivered (or attempted to be delivered) in accordance with this procedure and your prior instructions, we will not make any refund.

Risk of loss and damage of the goods passes to you upon delivery made in accordance with our procedure and your prior instructions. Title (legal ownership) to the goods passes to you on delivery.

Upon delivery you must inspect the goods and notify us immediately if you have any problems; if we hear nothing from you within 48 hours of delivery you will be deemed to have accepted the goods as being of satisfactory quality and fit for its purpose.

How much is delivery?

We deliver worldwide. Delivery costs are set out in the shopping basket prior to your purchase. For UK orders the goods are dispatched by Royal Mail/Parcelforce. Overseas orders may be liable to duty/customs clearance locally for which you are responsible.

Can goods be delivered to a different address to your own?

Yes! There is an option to enter an alternative delivery address when you place your order.

Specification of our goods

We have tried to ensure that all descriptions of size, style and colour are accurate. All sizes quoted are approximate. Some items are difficult to photograph, and the onscreen colour of the product may differ slightly due to the photographic and publishing processes and your own screen settings.

If you would like to know more about a particular product, please contact us for further details.

All our products comply with the appropriate safety and consumer regulations applicable in the United Kingdom and therefore meet those current in the European Union also.

Can you return the goods?

Darcey Bussell Direct are confident that we can meet your high standards and expectations, so we hope you have no reason to. However, if you are not completely satisfied or have a complaint, we will be happy to discuss this with you. If you change your mind or it does not match what you thought you were buying online you can return or exchange it for whatever reason within 28 days following delivery. This exceeds the minimum required by law.

Please note that your absolute right to return or exchange products does not apply to personalised items – products made to your specifications. These may only be returned if the products are damaged or faulty.

Where products supplied are damaged, incorrect or faulty you should notify us within 7 working days following delivery of the order, following which we will either replace the product or issue a full refund to you. We may request that goods be returned at your cost for inspection prior to agreeing any refund. Please return in the original packaging.

You remain responsible for the returned goods until we have received them. You must return the goods to Darcey Bussell Direct by Royal Mail Special Delivery (insured and trackable for your benefit) in the UK, but at your cost. If returning from outside the UK please consider using your local tracking service. If you do not freely return the goods at your cost then we reserve the right to deduct any reasonable costs we incur in recovering the goods from you and will deduct this from your refund. We will refund any delivery costs in returning the goods only if goods are confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied. We regret that we cannot refund the costs of the delivery of your original purchase to you.

Where a refund is made this will be paid as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days from notification.

You do not need to contact us prior to making a return – simply fill out the Returns Note included with your order and return it with the item. However, if you are unsure and wish to discuss any return of goods please contact us by email customerservices@darceybusselldirect.com .
